SPRING IS HERE !

New Outside Staircase

repairs lead to a total resortation/rebuild
the rotted fir steps have now been replaced
with a fresh cedar staircase with cool no-slip treads..

unexpected POTATO harvest

so the potato crop was under the ground

go figure !

the tire gardens experiment actually worked...
this year we'll modify from last years lessons learnt in farming 101
and create an even bountifullier harvest next season
( the first potatoes i ever grew !! - delicious )

a season of the buddleia

the eagles were extremely vocal today

as they perched in the tree tops above the lodge

( could love be in the air already??... sure feels like spring!!.. )

we began the first day to work in the gardens for season 2010

seems already that the plants are beginning to awaken

with + 10 degrees weather

today's sunshiny day was perfect of some early spring pruning

first of the kiwi vines

then a website lesson on early spring pruning of buddleia

that stated "be brave" and " prune it back hard"

please follow the adventure for a season of this beautiful plant
