eagles are into construction

today as the warmth of spring seemed to hit the island
we watch as the eagles above the lodge fly by with branches, beginning to build their nest...
seems ironic that today we begin the building of the new hot tub and sauna pads and forms....
spring is in the air... as the garden appears to have small shoots and buds everywhere..... will get a photo of the eagles soon... but when they zoom so close to the lodge i am in awe and forget the camera... the big male sits daily on the very top of the tree overlooking craidelonna and all his surrounding territory... a few days ago he was fishing right in front of the lodge... now that's impressive... again no camera... just stood in amazement at how beautiful these creatures are in flight and majestic they are at the hunt...

Think Valentine's WEEKend

Romance at the high seas...
Space available for valentine weekends
since valentine's day falls on a wednesday this year in february
there are two weekends available to celebrate with your love

today's sunshine!

Snow again !!
second snowfall of the winter....

for the afternoon hike on the beach..
we had a glorious blast of sunshine...
this blue heron basked in the warmth
(been trying to get a photo of him for a while)
today was the day in our moment of sunshine
this heron must have a nest or home somewhere close ..we see him on daily hikes,
he never ceases to shock on entrance with his loud prehistoric screams of welcome..

storm watching

there's a storm moving in
inside the lodge and cottage.. fireplaces are burning... doors and windows shut tightly... outside the wind sounds like a constant locomotive running at full speed, while the waves pound out the heartbeat of the ocean...
this is the exhileration of the storm season
